That’s a Wrap!

Or at least a wrap for planting. On June 25th, we planted our last succession of Persian Cress and Mrs. Burns’ Lemon Basil which was also our last sowing of seeds for all plantings.  The Cress and Basil were planted like the rest with Flower-tone added before the seeds then they were watered in. It is an odd feeling to be done planting for the summer. Thinking about the dates, time between successions, replanning because of weather have all consumed so much brain power, it feels like I’m forgetting to do something without those thoughts constantly rolling in my mind.

Now I maintain the steady cycle of weeding, feeding, and bug control and of course, not so patient, waiting for the blooms. The prize for all this work, sweat, sore muscles and time. I cannot wait to see our bees, birds, and butterflies doing their thing among the rainbow of colors. I’m ready!
